Cheese Cake Factory New York City. Do you have a copy of the book of cookery? Or Mom? I am not a cook, but I have a copy of the cookbook's grandmother anyway. It has some additional recipes for mother as well as some additional notes. Like all old family cookbook, which has three issues: the ink faded, so the recipes are difficult to read. Many of the recipes are incomplete - intended for notes and reminders. Cooking the current recipe is passed from mother to daughter. As a practical matter, Mom remembers only about two dozen of these recipes clearly. Not much in the way of desserts. Most dessert recipes are limited to jellies and sorbets. I've seen some old cookbooks with recipes for brownies and cookies different, but I've never seen a family cookbook with my favorite dessert - cheesecake!

This makes it very difficult when you need to plan the menu for dinner, especially when your guests have eaten at his table in the past. Cooking dessert ever again appears to be an acceptable solution. Almost everyone seemed to serve some sort of jelly or brownies in the holiday dinner. Mom used to subscribe to food magazines and recipes were good for family dinners. Unfortunately, all of mom's friends and neighbors bought the same magazines, so I still had the same headache as necessary to invite home. If I wanted to be different, need to buy desserts from the patisserie. Or serve ice cream. The kids never complain about ice cream!
